Our most popular room, including your own full, private bath. This comfortable Queen Suite has several river views and features a Queen sized bed and sofa to relax on while watching Netflix or enjoying the lush sounds of the surrounding National Forest.
Did you head out to the trails? Catch a shuttle up and get in late? No worries! This is a great room to relax in after your adventures in Downieville. Equipped with a microwave and refrigerator for you to use during your stay.
The Sierra Suite has one of the largest private balconies at Carriage House Inn, including a love-seat with a coffee table and two chairs to take in the ambiance of the rushing river below.

Being that the Craycroft is our most affordable Queen** Room, it doesn't mean you sacrifice comfort! This room has a view of all the action Downieville provides! Including, the Highway 49 Jersey Bridge over the Downie River and the famous Craycroft Building across the street - home of historic (and still in operation), St. Charles Place Bar, which was once the longest bar in California! The scene is ever changing and beautiful, no matter the season. The Queen sized bed offers a restful and comfortable night's sleep.
**Please Note: The bathroom does not have a private shower or bathtub within the room. The shower is a communal shower down the hallway, shared with the Jersey Bridge Room, across the hall. However, the Craycroft does include a private room with a toilet.

Our second most affordable King** Room boasts a King-sized wrought iron bed to greet you after a day in the Tahoe National Forest. Enjoy the charming views of the historic Highway 49 and the 1938 Jersey Bridge, all while enjoying the cascading sounds and visuals of the Downie River from your private balcony!
Your private balcony over the river includes a generous love seat and coffee table, perfect for taking in the beautiful surrounding forest and Downie River.

The beautiful Downie River Suite is our Double Queen Suite addition, featuring two comfortable beds, a sectional couch that converts into a queen bed if needed, and a gorgeous entrance off of our river-facing patio. Enjoy the private escape this gorgeous room has to offer, with fire pits and a BBQ right outside your door.
The queen beds are separated by a set of french doors, providing more privacy for our guests. Enjoy our selection of DVD's in our lobby, as well as a TV complete with Netflix and other streaming services, a mini fridge, and microwave kitchenette! Included is a full, private bath with a shower/bath combo and a a bench for accessibility.

Come and relax on your private balcony while staying in one of the most centrally located apartment-style lofts in historic Downieville, CA. The River Loft has a king sized bed, large sleeper couch, full kitchen, private bathroom with a tub and shower and boasts a large back deck overlooking Boomtown Backyard and the confluence of the North Yuba and Downie Rivers.
Please inform us in advance if you are bringing a pet! We love to make our accommodations cozy for our canine friends, too.
There is a cleaning fee for the River Loft of $90, added onto all reservations.

Downie Loft
Beautiful apartment-style loft located on the top floor of Empire Creek Provisions (Home of Cold Rush Cafe). The loft includes a queen bed in a private room, full bathroom with shower, and a full kitchen with a furnished living room including a double sleeper couch and flat screen TV. Centrally located, the apartment is in walking distance from all of the local shops and restaurants.
Dogs are allowed with a pet fee - please let us know if you are bringing a pet so we can make sure it is as comfortable as you are.
No smoking is allowed inside the apartment or on the balconies.
There is a cleaning fee included on all reservations for the Downie Loft of $80.

Yuba Family Loft
Beautiful apartment that sleeps up to five people. Located on the top floor of Empire Creek Provisions and Cold Rush Cafe. Cancellation and Other Covid-19 Policies:
We follow the CDC Guidelines, as well as California and local policies closely.
We are providing the following changes to our routines for COVID-19 under our extenuating circumstances policy to help protect our community and provide peace of mind. Please monitor this page for updates about coverage.
Due to Covid-19, room refreshes will not be offered during stays. Should you need fresh towels or linen, please call the front desk or email FrontDesk@DownievilleCarriageHouse.com and we would be more than happy to help.
As the situation around Covid-19 continues to evolve, the safety and wellbeing of our guests, team members, and community members remain our top priority.
As such, we have adjusted our cancellation policies to keep everyone’s health in mind. We urge you to take every precaution necessary when traveling, including purchasing the very affordable option for trip insurance. If you, or any member in your party, are feeling sick we ask that you contact us and we will make arrangements for you to reschedule to another date. Cancellations or rescheduling due to illness may results in fees.

Cancellations Agreement (Terms and Conditions):
We are a small independent & family-owned business, cancellations affect us greatly.
Within 24 Hours of Making Reservation
50% of your reservation is due upon booking and is 100% refundable within 24 hours after booking. After this time your deposit is non-refundable upon cancellation or will be applied toward your rescheduled reservation.
After 24 Hours From booking To Up To 8 Days From Check-In Date
A cancellation made after 24 hours from booking and up to 8 days from the check-in date will result in a non-refundable payment with the option to reschedule in the same season. If Guests would like to move a reservation outside of the same season it will be subject to a $100 fee and based on availability.
Within 7 Days of the Reservation
A cancellation made seven or less days from the check in date is non-refundable and cannot be moved. No exceptions can be made due to illness, smoke, rain, snow, traffic, etc.
If the Carriage House Inn is closed or subject to government-enforced closure, Guests will receive the hotel credit for their deposit for use within one (1) calendar year.
We strongly recommend that guests purchase trip insurance if they have any concerns about their plans being changed unexpectedly due to injury, weather, health emergencies, or any unforeseen changes.
The Carriage House Inn is a small, family-owned mountain property with variable year-round weather, including the possibility of smoke, snow, and hazardous road conditions. If we are open for business and not subject to government-imposed closure, there are no exceptions to this policy.
The Cancellation Policy excludes the following:
Downieville Classic weekend, Clamper Doin's, Weddings and Special Events, Banff Mountain Film Festival, Downieville Brewfest and other special events, all Federally Recognized Holiday Weeks, and any Large Group with room block contracts. Reservations for these events are to be paid in full, at least 30-days prior to arrival, and are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Please be sure to acquire trip insurance in the event of unexpected illness, pandemic, death, or weather related emergencies as we are not able to make an exception to this policy in order to keep our business sustainable.
All cancellation requests must be provided to the innkeeper in writing at
FrontDesk@DownievilleCarriageHouse.com and you will receive any refund due within 30 days of your reservation date.
