Be one of the first to experience the updated historic Carriage House Inn located in the heart of mountain biking boom-town downtown Downieville, California. The 3-story boutique hotel has reopened with a new ownership team in the fall of 2019 but retains its charm and longstanding commitment to serving our guests.
Whether you are a long time hiker, dirt biker, fly fisher, forest bather, wild game hunter, rock climber, horseperson, snow sport enthusiast, peak bagger, boater, wilderness trekker, Clamper, antique chaser, wildlife photographer, or you just enjoy making memories and relaxing on the banks of the pristine Yuba and Downie Rivers - Carriage House welcomes you!
The Downieville Carriage House Inn is managed by Sonya, Michael, and Gregory.
Sonya enjoys hiking, multi-day wilderness trekking adventures. Before moving to Downieville, she enjoyed spending time raising animals and growing food on her Southern California rural property. In SoCal, she longed for the sounds of the rushing river, the changing colors and smells of the seasons, and the close knit community she knew she wanted to be a part of. She found all of this and more in Downieville!
Mike enjoys wilderness trekking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and prior to living in Downieville, he also enjoyed growing avocados on the couple’s two-acre ranch in Southern California. He longed for a place he could ride or hike out of his backdoor to commune with nature. When he's not managing the hotel, Mike is out exploring the waterways, lakes, and trails in Sierra County.
Greg is a passionate musician who plays guitar, piano, and sings. When he's not on stage he enjoys fishing, camping, and riding his mountain bike around the amazing Lost Sierra Trails.
